The perfect balance between
Adrenaline and Landscape
The Majella National Park Zipline is part of an ambitious project to create top tourist attractions for the village of Pacentro, at the gateway to the park. It is estimated that tourist numbers will triple with the opening of a unique attraction for central Italy.
The inspections were fundamental in identifying the most suitable site for the construction of the new Zipline. Work began in March 2018 and was completed in September 2018, in record time.
First, we built the bases of the start and finish platforms. Then we stretched the cable, which is almost one kilometer long, with the help of a helicopter.
The length and height difference of this Zipline makes it one of the most adrenaline-pumping zip lines ever built!
The Majella Park covers over 74,000 hectares in the provinces of Pescara, L’Aquila, and Chieti. It is renowned for the great biodiversity of its flora and fauna: over 2,100 plant species grow in the park and more than 150 animal species can be spotted. As well as offering numerous activities for nature lovers, trekking enthusiasts can take challenging trails to reach the wild massif at the centre of the park, the Majella Mountain.
We have always worked to create facilities that blend into the surrounding environment with as little impact as possible. We have done the same for this zipline.
The Pacentro “angel flight” is an exciting experience, immersed in an area as rich in natural wonders as central Italy.
We look forward to seeing you at the inaugural flights of the Majella National Park Zipline!
